Hitching Post Wines is made by Frank Ostini, owner of the neighboring Hitching Post 2 restaurant, and Gray Hartley, who began making wine together in 1979 and released their first Hitching Post Pinot Noir in 1985. The focus is Pinot Noir from the Santa Maria Valley and Sta. Rita Hills, and the tasting room also serves lunch Wednesday to Sunday.
