We list 46 places in Los Olivos that take visitors, and 22 of them have a Grand Avenue address, with street numbers running from 2884 to 2990. Park once, and the rest of the day is on foot.

This is a plan built from the facts we keep on each listing: posted hours and whether a tasting room takes walk-ins or asks you to book. Hours change, so check the listing (and the tasting room) on the day.

Open every day

By their posted hours, 12 tasting rooms on Grand Avenue open seven days a week:

Most open at 11am or noon. Closing times run from 5pm to 7pm depending on the room and the day, so a late start still leaves time for several stops.

Walk-ins welcome

Seven tasting rooms on Grand Avenue tell us walk-ins are welcome: DaFoe Wines, Evan's Ranch, Larner, Los Olivos Tasting Room & Wine Shop, Refugio Ranch, Saarloos + Sons and Solminer.

Five of those are also open every day: Evan's Ranch, Larner, Refugio Ranch, Saarloos + Sons and Solminer. If you want a day with no bookings at all, those five are the core of it.

Several others recommend a reservation, including Coquelicot, Carucci Wines, Taste of Santa Rita Hills, Terre et Sang and The Bubble Shack. For a few we do not yet know the policy, and their listing says so rather than guessing.

Watch the midweek gap

Tuesday and Wednesday are the quiet days on Grand Avenue. Epiphany, Horizon Cellars, Taste of Santa Rita Hills, Terre et Sang, Toretti Family Vineyard and Waylan Wine Co. all post those two days as closed. Carucci and DaFoe open Friday through Sunday; Los Olivos Tasting Room & Wine Shop opens Thursday through Sunday; The Bubble Shack opens Friday through Monday.

On a weekday, the seven-day list above is the safer starting point. To see what is open on a given day across town, use the Los Olivos page or the Monday list.

Start from a ready-made day

In My day, pick the ready-made "Los Olivos on foot" day. It holds five Grand Avenue tasting rooms, listed south to north: Coquelicot, Larner, E11even, Saarloos + Sons and Refugio Ranch. All five post seven-day hours.

From there you can set the date, and the planner checks each stop against its posted hours for that day. Add or drop stops from the map, open each card for the full listing, route the day in Google Maps, and share the plan with a link. If a stop ever leaves our list, it drops out of the day on its own.

Before you go

  • Plan for a driver or a ride home. Walking between rooms does not change how you get back.
  • A few Grand Avenue rooms are dog-friendly by their own listing, including Evan's Ranch, Four Brothers, Carucci and Taste of Santa Rita Hills. The full county list is at dog-friendly wineries.
  • Want more than one town? Our guide collects the walking and weekday plans in one place.

The Grand Avenue facts above come from each listing's own sources, which are linked from the listing page.
